We are mercenaries, part of a brotherhood as old as war itself. We do not fight for a cause, an ideal, a king or a god. We fight for anyone willing to pay for our martial services. We are not guided by faith, morality or notions of good and evil. We go where the gold is, fighting for whatever faction or cause that is able to put the largest pile of gold on the table.

We are professionals, on and off the battlefield. We honor our agreements, and we follow the soldiers' code of battle. We strive to be the best military unit gold can buy, to bring glorious victory to our employers, and honor to ourselves. We will bring the full measure of our violent efficiency to fulfill a contract, you need only bring the gold.

After having recently completed a merger with Black Dog Company, Blood and Profit are now searching for more good recruits to expand our ranks even further. We are looking for mature, casual players of any nationality, and characters of any level or class. We are primarily an RP-PvP guild, but we also have many players interested in PvE and crafting aspects of the game.

The core players of Blood and Profit have been playing together in several different worlds before Age of Conan. We have worked under several names. Everquest - Nomad Souls, Shadowbane - Nomad Souls, World of Warcraft - Axe and Beard & Nomad Souls, Vanguard - Nomad Souls to name a few. By now, many of us have obligations and families to take care of outside the game, and we are very understanding towards players having to leave a group to extinguish kitchen fires and fetch the cat out of the microwave oven.

I would like to add that we have a "first mount financing program" for level 40 characters that have shown commitment to the guild. Our quartermaster has 100+ nice blue items of various levels for those up and coming recruits, all of which can be browsed and ordered in-game. We also have eager crafters that will help you out with any crafted equipment you might need (up to level 75, no tier 3 crafting buildings yet).

Thanks Trev, we'll make sure to do that.

We are also working on some RP/PvP events or scenarios, that will involve other guilds on the server, and hopefully result in some fun RP-fueled PvP for anyone wanting to get involved. These events are to be announced (held back a bit by RL workload at the moment), and will include server-wide bounty hunts, damsels in distress, shady assassins, epic battles, car chases and explosions! (Well, maybe not the last two, but it will be fun anyway.) So stay tuned for more.

Come join the ranks, it's better to get ganked with friends, than to be ganked all alone!

To all females:

I am glad to announce that the "purification" of the male members of Blood & Profit are going well. I have introduced the concept of "soap" as something to use in combination of a "bath". During today`s guild meeting I had the audacity to propose the use of these two things to the males as a way to attract more females to our ranks. I also suggested the odour from some of our brave ones might have been the cause of driving some of our female members away.

After the initial befuddlement and confusion; involving the suggestion of trading camels for women; summoning of "females" with horns and wings just to prove that they DID indeed have females in the ranks; and a general reluctance to the whole "bath" thing,(because it involves "water") I do think I have achieved some understanding of the idea. With the river so close to our city, it really should be doable.

In closing, I will leave you to this statement from the very charming and skilled Doriam as a testimony that they do indeed take this very seriously:

I know that`s a strange concept for a Cimmerian, but I do bathe once in awhile you know. It`s only all this running and fighting in full plate that doesn`t help my BO..

I am sure within a week things will have improved considerably, and as such there is no need to hesitate if you are in need of a place to call home.
