Problem of the mark is this: It limits roleplay and imagination so much that you can as well might have gaqme without character creation.

Lets see it from Cimmerian perspective. Mark you get as a slave, uh? Well, being slave is damn disgrace for Cimmerian. Hold on, it is also mark that controls you. Well, but you do seem to have free will. So everyone of us had to encounter the Atlantis spirit to null the effect, right? And there I thought such a thing is rare. Mhmmm... chosen one! Hold on second, if everyone is chosen one, I ask HOW ARE THEY CHOSEN as they are not any different from anyone else around.

Duh, Linemi comes from hunter´s family and spent most life in their housein the Mountains. When she set out on travels, she waws not out there as a slave and returned home same normal Cimmerian, on her own will.

I made a little twist to the story to suit me and still explain the mark,
Yes, Lotus was a slave, yes she nearly drowned (which shed the spirit as I believe the story means it escaped dying body to survive itself not because of some divine atlantean intervention).
She got to Tortage, spoke with Cramaleico... and that's where the story ends. She became Mitrielle's apprentice and stuck with it, to hell with resistance.

Cannot say it is possible to think up name that wasnt ever used somewhere trough centuries, probably.

Someone thinks, and it would be me, that you just have to use common sense. None really knoe Arses, the name doesnt bother as much as all the notoriously known names. There wont be many of them in game either. But notoriously known names lead to thousand mutations if the one who wishes to use it finds it taken (and there are many). Aragorn -Aragorm - Arragorn - Eragorn (haha) - Aregorn - Aragorrn - Araggorn - Aragornn - Aaragaron - xAragornx.... When you have five dozens names like this on server, its just questioning health of mind for me.

Seriously, if I came across a name like that in a book, that book would quickly be winging its way into the trash. That's how bad it is. These are supposed to be the names of 'real' people, 'real' in the sense that they should sound at least somewhat *convincing*. Like a name someone might actually go by every day, rather than something that sounds cool or menacing or whatever.
