I am doing some gray instance quests atm where the elites are 15ish level below me. The melee mobs aren't that bad but the spell casters are INSANE. They could be my own level judging from the damage they do. Or even higher as they can 3 shot me easily.

I know that the "grey elites" are supposed to be tougher, and they are, but comparing melee vs castersthe caster are just weird.

Is this intended too?

Caster damage must be bugged. I hope the developers have recognized this and are fixing it...

They never said anything specific about spellcasters, they only said the scaling of gray elite is "working as intended™"

Spellcasters ARE bugged, has nothing to do with elites though. They never miss with their spells and they always do the same amount of damage (which is presumably their max dmg). What kind of stupid game mechanics is this?

The devs told us mobs that do more damage than normal when they are grey are not working as intended. And that we should make a bug report if it happens.

Mobs should continue to do the same damage as intended. Period.

I was referring to the devs that said the new changes - that made grey elites harder - are working as intended although people complain about being 2-3 shotted.

not only that. but for a game that is very melee based. attacking a caster an elite caster is hell. even if hes attack the tank. the splash damage will easily wipe out sassy's and barbs. spell casters are a lil better since they can attack from a ways off, but get aggro, just for a second, and they will go down splat as well.
also teleporting must be bugged. how on earth can you have casters who NUKE, teleport outta range, nuke, teleport, teleport... nuke. i saw a guy teleport 4 times within a few seconds. that has to be bugged. theres no cahnge for melee peeps to do a thing to that kinda mob.
