The incredible force of this arrow strike drives the missile through the first target, striking any other targets in its path.

Is this a lie? The ONLY way i can make the piercing shot strike multiple targets, is when the targeted mob is behind everyone else. If the mob i have targeted is in front with several others behind him, nothing happens.

This means, the mobs must be between me and the target in order for the ability to work.

Am i doing it wrong, or does anyone else experience this?

same here. an it get worse for me cause even that does not work if the mobs are farther than 10 or 12m away.

It mostly only works for me when they all surround me... If i target someone further away, which additional mobs beside him, with Piercing Stance and Scatter Shots, it's only attacking the mob i targeted >_>.

quite easy to work around this when you solo, as you can change to the target in the back on the last combo keystroke and it will plow through everything else, but in situations where there are a lot of mobs being tanked by someone it can be a bitch targeting the one in the back

its a cone based attack with the cone faceing towards the target your shoting, bit fail description but hey nothing like killing 3 mobs in close combat a time

If faceing multiple targets, like say 3 mobs, target the mob in the middle and you will hit all 3 targets.

Guys this work very well. The problem is to set the targets in line.
The easiest way: 2 targets, 1 rangeer(caster) other melee. Attack ranger target, then go in position that the melee target stand exact between you and ranger target.
Other way: Set trap or just snare 1 of the targets. And put Root trap.Soon 1 target will be trapped and you start attacking. Between you and trapped target will be all other targets.
The important thing is that they must be in Line.

Thats from column attack from piercing shot and scatter shot.
"missile through the first target" thats when they are in line.

you have to have Scatter Shots to make AOE effective on a crossbow, once u have 5/5 Scatter shot. thats some high damage AOE.

can u imagine what would happen if piercing shot didnt stopped his effect on the selected target? yes, overpull, it would hit targets that u wouldnt want it to. so be thankful that u are allowed to choose the max range of ur skill.
