I think anyone can RP whether or not you know the lore of conan or not. I mean by lvl 20 everyone has a general idea about the story and world in which it is set. And if your still not sure why not act the troubled, moody traveller from a distant land who has lost his or hers memory.
I do think however everyone on a RP server should at least try it and more importantly shun the elitist guilds that blatantly advertise the fact that they are hardcore gankers. Choosing not to RP is one very understandable thing but even those people have chosen this server because they like to read others RP and want to immerse themselves deeper into the game.
I RP war between A Cimmerian and Stygian guild is totally in keeping with the lore and im sure neither side will blame the other for a Kill on Site policy but I think the RP community needs to be more proactive against unfair by guilds intent of killing outside RP, or even worse killing people because they RP. Hands up if you have experienced this?
We have a SMALL community of PVP'ers who thought it wise to roll on this RP server and prefer to kill RP'ers and call it PVP.

It is BOTH - you cannot PVP without the RP and you cannot RP without the PVP. Stop moving to your seperate corners and embrace this fact - this will make RP/PVP servers a better server to play!
According to Funcom the RP community needs to police the server themselves. Easy - let all RP'ers know the names of known PVP'ers and we will police!
