Smile Fight Mechanics

Hi,

Im level 19 so still in button mashing stage...

Got a few basic questions on combat:

Is there a Global cooldown on regular attacks?
eg So i have to press a directional attack every 1.5sec.

Does a combo move replace a regular directional attack on attack sequence?
Or are they independent of regulaur directional attacks.

Is there a way to stop buttons moving around when you are hitting them?
I really find i waste alot of time re-clicking buttons because they dont look like they have went off.

Is there a way to disable Hot Tips of skill buttons during combat?
Total pain in arse when i cant see for these things coming up when i hover over skills

Any general low brow explanation of combat is appreciated for an old man with poor reflexes...

--No idea

--Not sure, its either based on the first or last combo move direction,.

--You can lock the bars fromt he interface options

Is there a way to disable Hot Tips of skill buttons during combat?
--Couldn't see how to do it specifically in combat but you can disable them altogether, no idea how to move them.

I'm lvl 33 and what I have ovserved so far is

- Bows and cross bows have different attack speeds which are slower than melee weapons, and the character continues to attack if you continue to press the directional attack button, you don't have to press again and again.

- If I get the question right, yes. If you make a combo which finishes with for example "left" attack, that damage is dependent on how many shields the defender has on its lefthand side. So it would be wise if you make a bleeding puncture if the defender has no shields on the left side, and salvo if defender has no shields on his head etc.

- Didn't get it, but I would advise to play with keyboard instead of making everything using your mouse. I generally try to use the combos with 0 -9 buttons and the special skills such as trapping or the 15 second buffing skill with mouse which i use rarely on hard battles.

- Hope I get it right too : You can disable hot tips at all (there is a check button for disabling it), because it gives nothing, nothing that you cannot estimate and find out. If you really stuck, you can always open it to read by clicking the "?" button at the upper left corner of the screen.

and improve your reflexes

I hope it is helpfull

thx for posts, they are very helpful

To summarize:

Regular attacks only need to be pressed once, then only again if u want to change attack direction. "Not sure if this is true actually, unless u need to enable it in interface"

The Combos are direction dependent and should be selected when opponent is unguarded in this area. Not sure whether they are replacing a regular attack or supplemental to a regular attack.

Skill bars can be locked in options

Hot Tips can be switched off in options but not moved. "Better solution is to increase the time until it shows these for action bars"
In WoW there used to be a useful addon for moving these to a less used part of screen (Apologies for saying WoW, **** did it again)

Thx again, only thing that wont change are my reflexes im afraid but understanding will make up for some of that...
