All I can say WOW! Rangers are hella overpowered at least in the level 40-50 range, I dont have experience above those levels. They can toally stunlock anyone, they can jump around and kite without problems, they can slow you down, they can track and detect everything while they are in stealth, they have awesome damage, they wear medium armor and I could continue. I can just only hope that rangers are not so overpowered at high levels, because this is madness...Its impossible to kill a skilled ranged now in the lvl 40-50 range, if they gets a jump on you, and most of the time even if you jump on them its a lost fight, because of that ranger ability what makes your char stunned or something, and they can repeat that shot [or is it some kind of a trap? even anti cc feats what supposed to remove stun and root effects wont work vs. that ranger ability], so basically you wont come out from that effect ever..

The class forums really need to restrict posting to users who has a character of said class above level 20. You don't balance a game at level 40. Some classes can take rangers, others can't, it's the same for others.

1.Jump around and kite? You cant fire unless your standing till (hell vs melee chars).
2.Track...half the time it doesnt work...and pretty pointless.
3.Medium armor makes little to no diffrence in defence ratings.
4.Mezz shot, it breaks on damage..100% of the time.
5.Rangers have to pick their battles were a ranged class, with limited melee ability we couldnt face you toe to toe.
Yes I will admit we do have good DPS in that level range, but apprently we dont scale to well either and there is a nerf coming (i think).

Curently it looks like this

Healers + ranger > rest, sorry rangers- but if you say your class is balanced, then you need to play some of the other classes. I have seen no class yet which can kill a target, be it player or mob, before it actually gets in range. Hell, on my friend's ranger- I can kill pretty much anything 5-8levels above with pure ease. The medium armor and lack of deadzone makes the ranger class have pretty much no glaring weaknesses, cause even if your opponent manages to get within range on you, they most likely are below 30% hp already~ meaning you can just tank their dmg while finishing them off.

Giving Rangers a deadzone wouldnt be viable unless they gave us either a pet to hold agro on mobs, or an obscene amount of snares and slows.

Giving us pets would make us WoW Hunters. Although I love WoW, if I want to play WoW, I'm gonna play that and not AoC.
