It looks as if the patch server IP is currently not found over the DNS server of your provider. What you can try to see if this would fix the issue is enter another DNS server manually into your LAN configuration. You could for example use the Public Google DNS for that test.

Before changing the settings, you should note the current settings so you could switch back to them later.

Instead of using "Obtain DNS server address automatically" you would choose "Use the following DNS server addresses:"
Preffered IP: 8.8.8.8
Alternate IP: 8.8.4.4

After these changes, please try again to start the game client.

Okay, the DNS servers that you provided has the DNS entry for aoc-eu-gameupdate.live.ageofconan.com.

But it dosen't reach the destination, so patcher fails with the same message as before.

After changing DNS like written, the tracert in cmd worked (not before), but still didn't resolve the patcher issue...

Well I have the same problem and as posted I have talked with Zedren (believe his the one that actually brought this to the forum admins) Im from denmark aswell however I dont have cybercity, I got YouSee (TDC) Fiber connection and its the same - DNS times out

We have made an adjustment on our end to make sure everyone with the mentioned issue is still able to reach the patch servers now.
