btw, ranger used to be more fun before revamp, even if it didn't change so much for those (like me) that used to play with bow, but i don't want to risk another revamp!!

you apply up and low buffs, don't you??

ofc i use upper and lower on all my attacks is taht what i should do or just lower or upper on some attacks?

You must have been in 3 instances already: Black Castle, Sanctum of Burning Souls, and Cradle of Decay. What did others tell you about your class? Were you all right as a DPS class there?

lazy answer: yes


long answer: it depends on a lot of factors...

pen. shot: upper attack reduces the cooldown, so you may skip it if you know you won't need it again soon (eg, the mob is almost dead, and you will have to wait for the next pull)
bleeding puncture: upper attack increases the duration of the bleed, so it may not be needed if the target is already low on health
linebreaker: upper attack increases the power of the knockback, and it's not always needed
quick shot: sometimes you may want to use it partially unbuffed, to be able to use it before the mob dies
armor ripper: upper attack applies phisical torment, but if the debuff is already at x5, you won't need it, unelss you need to refresh the debuff

i gave you a build for lvl 80, but i didn't talk about the order of the feats... sorry...

at lvl 57, i'd go with this
then i would take in this order: master sniper, heavy shots, rending strikes, adaptability, linebreaker, precision, deadeye, shred armor.

sharpshooter tree is nice, but you're going to miss all the feats that buffs the dots in the waylayer tree...
