You can take screenshots in game with F11 (IIRC - you can check the keybind in game menu). Screenshots are stored in Screenshots subfolder.

What UI are you using? The one you installed or the original if you didn't install anything

There is top "Points to Distribute - 0" in my case I have put those all in skills.

Can you see that small - or + close the skill like I pointed in screenshot? Mine is grayed out in screenshot as I have none points left to input.

Looks like something is broken and corrupted. Repair run might help you on that, you can find it from Launcher Options: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/1247243/repair.jpg

i ended up reinstalling the whole thing. thanks all though for trying to help me, now i can climb and stop ripping my hair out with frustration lol

Sometimes using "byCrom" might help to clean up some files. After start up these files are than renewed. Specially after big patches, this will help.
