Most important when doing solo khitai is pulls that reflect skill, level and gear. This is the reason I did Chosain quests with a lvl 77 conq.

So try to pull (with flame lash), beware of patrols, one or two mobs and always bring (charge is nice) melee mobs to caster ones. If unsure, bring the pulled mobs further away from clusters, patrols, etc. When you get more confident and maybe a bit better gear then you can do bigger pulls.

- BB gear (you get blue belt, wrist and shoulder free)
- Trial (Hyk)
- LL caster cloak (for hate decrease)
- Khitai nms a few times for aa, exp and blues in the start then hms
- T1/2 raids for gear and especially for fun since it's your first lvl 80.

I did khitai quests with poss+gen build and it worked great but avatar is also good, especially for its frequent stuns.

Questing in NG is no longer a problem, though I do die way too often in the bamboo forest to the south. I just can't see a god damn thing down there. The "remove folliage around character" option doens't seem to work as inteded.

Anyways, I think I'll go ahead and try a pos/gen build. It seems no one has anything bad to say about it.

I have bought one of the rings suggested, and have just claimed my rank 2 BB gear, so progress is made.

Regarding the weapon, it will be the last thing I focus on, as it seems it seems there are several options for getting a better 2HE.

Oh, and I am not quite as bad as some of you make it sound. I am just undergeared, but generally know how to play

It is more about your playstyle! Actually, there is one good advice: never think that it will not work for you if someone says "do not do that", "it is not worth it", and "do not use that"! Experiment!

Oh, I forgot to add - after you buy some of the culture pieces, just get out of Khitai and participate in T1-T3 raids. You can get in Khitai after raiding T3. I suggest Wrath of Xotli as your main weapon if you cannot get an Ibis. Trial of Flame is not worth it. Full T2-T3 is actually the best versatile armor one can get. Wrath of Xotli gives you the best hit rating, constitution, and hate decrease if you decide to group up with someone. Ibis is good for PvP. Trial - well, some use it; but it is not as good as these two. Also, it is ugly .

There are a lot of great builds, and both your Avatar and Possession, and Possession and General work well. I prefer the Avatar tree (with some Possession) in PvE for top DPS.

Yeah, well I just did that. Turns out Malefic Chant is the most worthless feat in the history of history.

I immagined being some sort of firebreathing vampire, but no. It occasionally heals me for 52...

It might be not so useful for a single-player style, but in groups, these 52 hit points could save you many times, especially with Molten Flesh and Blood Pit.

No way. In a perfect world I'd hit 4 mobs with hellfire. If I am lucky, and it feels like healing me (around 50% chance it seems), thats 208 hp. 208 hp is nothing when you are up against a group of 4

For this feat to be any good, it should have a 100% chance to heal for 10 or 20% of the damage I deal.

With all due respect, sarcasm or not, this is very misguiding a new player. *Your* playstyle doesn't matter in such a conversation.

The most efficient gear, no matter what, is the BB gear, because T1-T2-T3 gear and weapons lack crit rating, and BB does both dps, magic damage, and crit better.
It's the same for Trial of Flame, which is way better than T3 sword, and arguably even better than an Ibis in PvE due to the quite low amount of magic damage on an Ibis.

It may be ugly, but it's an insane sword T1-T2-T3 swords will be great to wait for this sword but they are transition items.
