Right so first and foremost, hello all you people. I’m a returning player who never quite managed to stick through the launch. I never quite wrapped my mind around the commands for social interaction in this game, and suffice to say this limited my ability to RP, which to be honest is why I play any MMO.

So I’ve decided to give it another try but the question is, does anyone still play this game? And if so, how active is the RP scene and is there any community? As it seems my characters (All low level admittedly with a Cimmerian 28 Conqueror as the highest) are now on Fury, so checking this out or if I should turn my eyes on some other.

So it’s the usual questions, nothing new really.

I’d also appreciate a link to a very basic RP guide concerning AoC, as I am still fiddling with figuring out channels, emotes, say and all that.

My I had forgotten how unique the combat system is in this game, loving it thus far. Tad worrisome that I havn't encountered any English speaking people yet, but what can you do.

Also quickly discovered I'll need to become adapt at PvPing, Cimmeria is a harsh land it seems filled with bloodthirsty people!

I'll also admit I have next to no knowledge of Conan lore, but common sense and reading here and there will hopefully get me by!

Just a curious question, how long does it usually take to get to 80 in this game, and is it adviseable for me to try and reach max level before getting into the roleplay?

The only restrictions you'll have as far as roleplay, is maybe having issues actually travelling through some of the zones. But apart from that, no rush at all.

I imagine you could get to 80 quick enough. Its been a while since I did it, what with all the offline levels.. Not the best person to ask there. I wouldn't rush mind.

Don't wait for RP, just do it all the time. At any level. Live the character.

There is a bit of bloodthirst in most of the PvP encounters and I admit the ferocity shocked me at first but now I can't get enough. And, yeah, that's Cimmeria for you.

Becoming adept at PvP needs practice with your class. Period. Love your class and skill will follow.

Don't worry too much about lore. Dabble or go into more detail, as you prefer. I can't give advice for meeting English speaking people, but an English language guild is good to start.
