I'm a bit of a weird MMO-player... I don't really enjoy fighting so much, but I love exploring the content, the quests, killing stuff and just relaxing on my own.

So, having just started playing AoC, I want to find "my" class. In WoW, the "faceroll solo-class" is a hunter, what is it in AoC? IS there such a one at all?
-A relaxing class w. not-so-many buttons, fairly easy to run solo with, and no demand of high skill to "get by". It is ok if it takes high skill to master it - I'll get to that point... later!

If I can figure that out, it'll be my first "real" char while I learn the ropes and explore the world - which I am much looking forward to

Demo is the easiest to play and when you master it it's quite powerfull as well.

If you want to experience this game's unique combat system, I'd roll a berzerker barbarian. Probably the easiest melee class/spec to get into, loads of CCs and is a real punching bag, and the damage isn't something to scoff at either.

Thank you for both of your replies, Blutti & Loger - I actually think I will do both! -Since meanwhile, I have indeed fallen in love with both my Cimmerian Barbarian (There's some viking in me...) AND the super-tattoo'ed wicked demonologist that sorta speaks to my dark side... mwahaha!

I am not usually a good spell-caster, so the Demonologist will be an experiment - but one I look forward to.
