well for u figuring out tactics is trouble, for others killing a boss after cracking it by yourself feels like a great accomplishment.


the biggest problem is, that with funcom we can never know if a new encounter is working as intended or we are bashing our head against a wall for nothing...

Yeah, only if it were true. But its not.
**** flows downhill, so to say. Tactics are not an exception to this rule.

Just one thing about Scoot because he was in Avalon for a short period of time (just left when we crafted him his first ingot) : He simply told some mechanics cuz we already had the overall tact, the only unsure thing was, for us, the mechanic of Storm of Arrows and that's pretty much it, we even had a quite different tact to kill Sheng and it was workin in our tries.

Oh, the drama with tactics again? Its obvious some are really frustrated, as they come back to this issue time and time again... I doubt it would matter to these ppl, but if you cared to read CK's opening post, you'd have trouble in finding anywhere the words "these tactics have been discovered by us or that these tactics shall hence forth be known as The QQ Tactics". He simply said they are the ones we use... simple. All the ensuing moaning is just frustrations of kids who have been robbed of their lollypops and can't cope with the thought that others know how it tastes... grow up.

Any idea why the boss goes to the dps group after a tank irritates him to start the fight? They are doing absolutely nothing, no heals, no manifestations,... The boss just moves to some random dps and 2 hits him

I don't know why it's like that, but for this reason we always pull with a crossbow.

Dunno if there is a difference at all pulling him with an irritate or xbow :/

The main point is to have all the melees as close as possible to the blood pool at the begining of the combat. With that stupid random agro at the pulling, he screws everything

X-bow do damage and should therefor ensure that the boss comes to the person doing this damage.
Irritate just creates some form of hate that will fade away, and can also be resisted but still activate the boss.

The best combination for pulling (on almost every boss) i x-bow together with irritate. Then you should be pretty sure he dont start running after some healer or dps before you have had the possibility to hit him a few times. (only if dps dont nuke on him ofc)

I heard irritate is composed by 2 components: X+Y where Y disappears after 4 or 5 secs.

Anyway, thanks for the tip, we will use the xbow
