checked out a bunch of movies from gamescon and it looks very promising indeed.
The dodge system is just super and much more fluid and natural then the equivalent in aoc, really interesting that a player can make active choices, do damage or avoid damage, and all with a cost that has severe impact on the next 10 sec of gameplay.
The negative part so far is that its seems a bit repetitive, you use your main ability and spam that and then you have a bunch of situational (which is very nice) tools. What i would like to see is thats some (1 or 2) of the situational tools had reduced cd and effect so there would be more of a rotation of skills. In pvp this wont be a problem since you really need your situational tools but in pve it might get a bit boring
Btw reading thru the skillplanner and watching some movies, have made me really interested in a ranger with sword and a dagger, combined with a longbow.
Just a pvp scenarion that looks really cool.
Start off at range with long range shot when the opp gets closer kb with pointblank, pull sharpening stones for max bleed and crit, switch to melee set, serpent strike, three steps of slash and then hornet sting followed by crippling talon and switch to longbow again. Will be super fun really and looks really cool in the videos...
And if/when you go down, order your pet to revive and go stealth
Looks awesome to be honest...

Yea there are so much skill and weapon combinations that makes the game perfect.
Yea first skill is your Whitehit. What I don't like is you can make this first skill with right click to an auto attack so you don't need to spam this, but I don't like auto attacks.
The melee classes are looking a bit to weak, I think every class will need a 2nd weapon set with ranged weapon. Elementalist has so much movement skills, as melee it looks very hard to catch him. I hope the melee players were bad, because they don't know a fast combat like this. GW2 combat system looks pretty the same as AoC, there is no combo system but dodges are 100 times better.
the pvp will be awsome in Guild wars 2, funcom should make notes about that, I would love to see last man standing or death match with guild vs guild best players, and best guild gets nice amount of tokens pvp xp or whatever.

You can destory everything( buildings etc.), line of sight is very important and sideback(double W/S/A/D) it is much more important than in AoC, because it gives you 100% block chance against everything, but you loose 50% of your power/energy.
Damn I dont like the lore I dont like 3/5 playable races I dont like some emo haircuts but i saw pvp and it was 1000000x better than whats in aoc nowadays. Maybe I will try it.
If you just can see past the 3 fantasy classes in the game, the pvp just looks awesome to be honest.
Regarding emo haricuts, they showed the character creation system in germany and it is very extensive, they actually use the same character creation engine as aion (great engine poor implementation) and removed the abnormalities that you could do in aion so you will be able to create less emo characters.
Frankly i think the mmo world should very afraid, it doesnt matter if you are into pvp or pve, this is groundbreaking in so many ways and one thing that strikes me is that they continously let people play the new systems at the same pace they are revealing them
Its the opposite to fc, fc promised a lot and delivered very little, arenanet has a different policy, they drive the hype thru the gamers, letting them try the stuff and talk about it. A much better strategy, ensuring long life span of the game and healthy playerbase over time thru setting the right level of expectations.
@Darchrow, dont feed the trolls, Sobs wont understand it anyway, he have no clue what so ever regarding pvp. maybe time for a second petition on that guy...

Now just to find some Ketchup and Mayonnaise and we can make Vampire Prawn Cocktails .. good enough reason to play as any I've seen

Necro with a melee axe, hacking n slashing ... mmm
Check out the elementalist, 4 different stances, or attunements, different stances for ranged dps, close combat, healing and aoe. Maybe this will be the first game were mages/ranged actually demands some skill.
