Yes, for the first time, players will be able to get their hands on these unique races – believe me, they are impressive! Character appearance customization – Also for the first time, you’ll be able to play around with our character appearance customization feature and control the way your character looks. PvP – Last but certainly not least, we’re premiering Guild Wars 2 Player vs Player (PvP) at gamescom! Why do you play aoc then, it has all those things and to a much bigger extent then i can find in any gw2 movies?

Sure the races in gw2 is a bit more fantasy then in aoc but thats the lore and in gw2 the races at least wil have different important abilities tied to them. Not even that could fc fix in aoc even though the conan lore is more then inviting to offer such abilities.

Sometimes i wonder if anyone has even played aoc, pets, strange mounts, fantasy gear, weird monsters its full of it.

It starts in tortage with huge poison spitting plants and undeads walking the entire place and the experience is at its peak when you enter KK, lmao, can it be more fantasy.

The only difference is that gw2 does it with better graphics (not the same as prettier, that is a matter of taste and i like gw2 better) and at least a serious effort with pvp which this thread is about. AoC has no structured pvp whats so ever and bori and bk is just a proof of that.

Frankly i dont care if people dont want the play the game, the thread is about pvp in GW2 and in almost all aspects it seems to be better then aoc.

Why not read the articles and reflect upon them, and by all means do it in comparison to aoc gameplay and not graphics, which is purely subjective.

Omg this is PvP :

- Pickup Tournaments: These single-elimination tournaments wait for 8 teams to join before starting. Once they start, they go through 3 rounds of eliminations, with winners receiving qualifier points.

- Monthly Tournaments: For monthly tournaments, you'll need a certain amount of qualifier points to join.

- Yearly Tournaments: These grand tournaments feature the winners from the monthly tournaments slugging it out for the right to call themselves the best PvP players of the year.

Sry guys but AoC should focus only for PvE, AoC has no chance with PvP. GW2 PvP>AoC, AoC PvE>GW2.

I started to play AoC for the PvP(funcom said BKs etc^^), but now I play it only for PvE and for the combat system and graphic.

I will play GW2 for PvP. AoC has no PvP system, GW2 PvP system looks amazing, I hope it works.

Can just agree, that is why i played aoc, the combat system is the only thing that is really great.

The thing is at least warriors will get a combosystem in GW2 called chains, and as it seems there will be a combosystem between classes which make the groupgameplay really demanding in a much more complex way then aoc has ever been.

The way they built/build the tournament mode is nothing less then amazing and pretty much sums up what pvpers in aoc asked for.

Cant wait until they present their WvWvW pvp, then we are talking about big scale pvp, 3 different servers fighting on a fourth, those matches are supposed to last for days or even weeks. Is it just half what they have done, or are doing, with minigames, then it will be amazing.

They have shown this for the press and it doesnt matter what groupsetup you use, its the individual skill and teamplay that will determine the outcome of an encounter.

I have read a couple of reviews and the press seem to be very positive about these changes alongside the dynamic events.

Even i get interested in doing some pve in this game. In aoc/wow/etc its just static and predictable, check out some videos and you soon realize how complex this can be but still simple, just ten skills per char but 100 of combinations in a team and combinations that matter for the outcome.

i am starting to become a GW2 fanboi...

Yea GW2 combat system isn't 0851 it looks good for more teamplay.

2nd best thing after PvP. I like experimenting with my class, but I can't do this in AoC(see DT lot of broken skills) But GW2 skillsystem gives you much more freedom, every weapon changes your skills etc.. There are a lot of skillbuild options.

Example as guardian you can use a sword and a shield. Shield gives you 2 defensiv skills, but than you use instead of shield a talisman, Talisman gives you 2 offensiv skills. But there are a lot more options.

You didnt get it? Sorry I wasnt clear as long as there will be plants dogs and gremlins as a playable race its not for me...

Some people need to indentify themselves with their char and some people havent got that urge and personally i dont even care, i can play a pumpkin as long as the pvp system is good and the game is skillbased, might be what separates the people that want to do pvp and the ones that has it as sidekick to their rpg experience.

I assume you have issuse with lord of the rings as well...

Btw how do you live with hoxes, demos, necros, dt, pom and their demons and stuff. Personally i cant understand why anyone play games like this if the connection to reality, or as little fantasy as possible, is important. there isnt anything real about either of the games and they are both fantasy games, just with different lores both are fantasy and its just the graphics (animals/human) that different. You know you can play human as well.

Either way this thread is about GW2 pvp and has absolutely nothing to do with the races, can you comment on the pvp which was the entire point of the thread or are you just looking for a thread hi-jack..

If its the latter i suggest you start your own thread "i cant stand playing anything else but humans (that can transform to lizzards)" might be a good subject.

EDIT: Frankly i dont think a single soul is interested in what you are interested in playing and why and in particular if they come to this thread and want to read about gw2 pvp.
