Luxury! When we started in internal-beta, we had no weapons or stats; my toon was barely a wireframe; as for mounts, we players 'cleaned the road with our tongues'!

C'mon, games evolve, I played from launch and yeah it took forever to get a swift horse, and the first time it was fun and part of learning the new game in 2008. But F2P won't retain players, if the game is a miserable grind for what are now essential elements. If folks want prestige mounts, let'em grind with the factions for the wolf or tiger.
