I didn't say he didn't kite After a few hits we had to take the boss for a little walk and I also used the time when the boss was enraged to heal up the tank. We had good dps though, so the whole fight was rather short. If we had another tank most likely we could just resort to aggro switching.

And what's wrong with kiting - it's not Coppice. Using sprint to avoid boss for 10-15s while stopping the dps is not cool? Why the boss is not faster than the tank then? This fight is almost the same as Bibaculus - and you had to kite him if you failed to destroy the barrel.

But I wanted to prove something and missed the point. You're right - it may be fun in the beginning, but shortly after nobody will go to these instances. Expecially with such rewards - e-peen increase and pats in the back

The same as with Jade Dugout, Pagoda etc. - only a few people in my guild are capable of doing it, but they also have to be in the right mood (all at the same time) etc. - in the end nobody ever goes there and we run KK all the time...

Hence all the instances should be changed to have the same difficulty/reward ratio of EoY, not the other way around...

Funcom already tried the "let's cater only to the hardcore players who can play 40+ hours/week" approach and check how much good it did to them.
What was the MoA and faction points increase per quest with these last patches, somewhere in the region of 400-800%? This is also an implicit admission of just HOW MUCH they botched it for the first 12 months or so... but hey, what's a measly year of completely botched character progress for an MMO with 10+ million subscribers.

I disagree. If the whole content was of the same difficulty it would be boring. Even if they nerfed Pagoda and Vortex how many would you think would go there after they got what they want dropwise? The people that are doing KK only would still do KK only cause they want to get the most rewards out of their time.

Yesterday I did Ai and three bosses in Ti'anan (sin boss that goes up and down a two floor building, the Priestess of the Insurrection and another boss that you need to drain his stamina). All seem very doable to me. We killed the first two and wiped on the third cause I failed to position him close enough to the fires. I was on my guardian who has several blue drops from Khitai dungeons, the wolves epic belt from Reliquery and t3 shoulders, gear that you can't call uber nor difficult to get. We didn't seem to have much trouble tanking with a DT. The encounter that we seemed to have the most trouble was with the sin cause he oneshoted people when he attacked from stealth but I managed to grab aggro fast to prevent him from stealth attacking anyone else but me. From what you say the bosses scale in diffficulty in there and that's how it should be in my opinion.

As i tank, i have tried both instances in PaiKang, and like the majority, we have done Ai district several times, but, we have wiped some seconds after pulling any boss in the other instance, because i was getting 4-7k hits from the bosses (57.5% mitigation), and even more dmg for the DT that was tanking with me, and the dt pet lasted something like 2 hits from the boss.

Imho critigation has been the worst thing that happened to this game by far. It does not work, it is not a life saver, and i never have seen any difference in any dungeon in the combat logs, and to be honest, i think that BD or T3 guard set is the best to go, because you have higuer base mitigation, the protection bonus, and higuer dps -> better agro.

And i do not think that this 1% of elite people would like to play alone if everybody leaves the game because the difficulty is ridiculous. And this is the actual trend: Merge servers, because people is leaving. I could say the same about the ridiculous amount of tokens that you need to get anything. After 1 year FC finally raised the rewards from the quests to get more moas. Now i see good ideas like the +critical rating / +combat rating pots, but again, the price is too high to be useful, and you need to keep farming like a chinese monkey. No this is not fun, and this is the reason why people is leaving, and why only the 'elite' people will stay.

Think about this developers, and do not wait another year to fix the game.

Firstly let me say I haven't been here but if it is as difficult as many posters suggest then are there any reasonable awards for it? if a tank needs a fll set of khitai gear and plenty of tanking AA feats then, are they rewarding with anything useful? or is it just a case of more tokens that they can spend on things they need to do the dungeon anyway?

If there aren't any rewards for ths small percent of players then funcom have surely missed the mark...

well, maybe you should try few bosses where you actually need the critigation, like Den of the Crowmen (especially the small bird) or Commander in AI District.. when you´ll see numbers like 1500 of damage mitigated from majority of hits in your combat log, than you can decide if it´s useful or not
