Ihmo this is a great chance for the rest of the servers that will merge. It will be nice to see people running arround once again.

Why go to this new server? I havent exploited ****!!! I worked hard to get my character to the level i have it now.

For me the new server for the time being is a no go. If after the merge the population is still low i will consider it but for now personally the only good news in that letter was the server merge.

A transfer option will not work with a fresh start obviously.
If new chars there face the same one-shot gap like new 80s now, where is the point of a new server?
You could still enable a copy char option with a gear, AA and pvp xp reset, so you will not have to do PvE
These chars could be equipped with random open-world blues from the start as well.

Yes. Funcom NEEDS to get the Age of Conan name out there again and at the very least let people know that this is far from the same game that was originally released. As the OP said, the emphasis could be this new server with the claim that it's "the truest to Howard's vision", or if that's too obscure, something like, "the most brutal Age of Conan has ever been". Just anything to let people know that the game still exists really.

so there is no need for pvp lvls anymore


---->you can increase your lvl by doing pve and PVP!!!

advantage would be:
- no player who gank on low lvl areas to pvp 10 and then lvl to 80
- you dont force ppl to do pve on a hardcore pvp server


make standard gears with the existing mini caps (lvl 20-39,....) which can be purchased by token and generated loot.... but not dropable after pvp death.


make some rare dropping epic gear with a certain droprate after a pvp death but not purchaseable

What about people that want to play minis at a specific level area? By doing the minis they would outlevel that place.

PvE gear should be **** for PvP and PvP one should be **** for PvE.

I dont want to make a troll-flame-whine thread but personally i feel very dissapointed about all this "news" Silirrion announced.

Personally i feel that the only good thing in that thread was the server merge announcement. I feel already the RP community on Aquilonia that have negative thoughts on that matter but all in all the merge is a good thing.

Why go to this new server? What about the players that dont play only one toon? What about the pvp guilds and communities that are not based on characters but the players?? They will have to play on 2 servers? have you tried that?

For me the new server will be filled with all the new whine "Funcom help me pvp level 10 kick my ass" players. What about the ppl that played their toons for all this time and worked hard to get the gear and the AA? We all had to rank up and level in an enviroment where veterans were playing also. And they were playing in premades. Now all of a sudden this is bad? why? because Funcom has dissapointed the old players and made them leave? now they want to make a new player base out of new players? i dont get it.

For me this new server is a no go. I dont see a lot of things changing in that new server to inspire ppl to fight. If ppl wanna fight will fight.

I know a lot of skilled players from Aquilonia and i hope this merge will improve the quality of players in the existing pvp servers and make the ppl that moved to Crom to come back.

Funcom is going through now in all this trouble to create a server / merge servers / apply different rules instead of focusing in resolving some of the real issues that made ppl to leave in the first place.

Removing guards and bori will not improve the situation.
Improving the current content with some tweaks that would inspire ppl to fight like changing the mechanics in Bori, changing the rewards for skirmishes are the things that in my opinion would improve this game.

Nonetheless the server merge i think will give a shot to the current population and with the premade que will give us some kind of competition between guilds.

- Fix the sieges
- give more rewards for skirmishes

That is the way to go

Hello everyone this topic is mainly for Funcom and I hope they will read it at least.

Since Funcom is going to create a new blood and glory pvp server and they made a vote system for BK, Bori, Offline lvls etc. I think there is another big problem. Veteran players dont want to grind gear, AA feats and pvp levels again Funcom, maybe 10% of them would do so, but be realistic. Veteran players spent thousands of hours to get some gear, AA feats and pvp levels.
I think players are clever enough to vote for no Bori, reduce BK buffs etc. But Funcom you should make this server like Testlive server (Blacksoul already said it in some topics). So you make a new char (only one its good choice for this server I think) and then you can obtain lvl 80 pvp level 10 and best pvp gear without any grinding. Then it should be real fun in minigames sieges or world pvp and I can tell you thousands of pple would roll char on this server, but if you will have to create new char lvl him and get decent gear for him again it will be ghost server trust me.

And for the AA feat system. Give player only 750 expertise points and you can get anymore on this server. This is the way to go in my opinion.
