I'm tired of every change being weighed first and foremost against PvP performance. What about PvE? The OP rightly speaks of our ability to provide utility to groups and raids, this change will put a serious dent in that. I would have been fine with a 50% dps reduction of naked finishers, which apparently is what is causing rangers to be overpowered in PvP. But leave the buffed shots as they are.

I like the argument of reducing CD on FB to give SS more import as a tree...DPS tree vs CC tree endfeat. I didnt test FB as neither of my live rangers have it. But 15s seems disproportionately low. Perhaps 60s to put on par with LB to start and see if thats effective.

Ranged fear has to break on damage, its CC. But the threshhold should be 20% like others, and not this broken one tick or two ticks like we have now. This would give Ranger a choice...interrupt and dps or interrupt and move away.

Pindown will reemerge as a concern now, and FC has already been told in my test feedback. Immolate might get a slight CC boost to bring it closer to prevamp or it will remain rarely taken.

After revamp Ill be dropping Exhausting traps, immo, the five points above immo and putting those nine into more dps in SS tree I imagine.

Incendiary shot is not broken for pve - they fixed the break on damage that was an early problem. If I use Incendiary Shot with both upper and lower debuff on a mob, I can then put in 2 white shots before the fear breaks. So therefore I can double buff the next major combo while the mob is feared and fire the next big shot as he runs back towards me. Seems fair enough. Maybe it breaks early if the white shot makes a big crit but in general its seems to work OK as designed in terms of pve.

Folks, please keep things constructi e and avoid trolling, personal attacks and insults, even implied ones.

This forum is meant for legitimate, impersonal feedback on the ranger class.

Lets not let disagreements turn into personality debates etc. This forum is getting quite a bit off of the mark lately.

We need to right the ship.

Well that is new. Are you talking about AoC. I can give you a link to the way the different classes are set up in AoC. You should read it, very intersting stuff. It is better to use a common reference when discussing things instead of making up your own every time you feel a BURB coming.

Sorry, was referring to PvP. It definitely doesnt work properly there. As often as I am hit by this attack in brawls, I never worry about because I know the next tick or two will remove it. I dont even waste my Liberation CC break on it.

I thought perhaps additional dps was being done by other players to break it by a quick check of combat log showed otherwise in every case.

Unfortunately, with these changes we will have to push hard to fix PvE for Rangers as this DPS reduction with no upswing in PvE utility will again limit our usefullness in those areas.
