ranger damage need nerf for sure....i dont know how it will be done but it needs to be done in someway.
Medium armour,enough health,many ccs instant and can dps a lot from far away.
I played my Hox in PvP also and i am always 2 combos for rangers.
They do constantly to me 5000 crit.Propably they do that damage to all clothies and maybe Barbs too.
Also the traps that drain is a complete joke.None character in game have that kind of mana-stamina drain.
Every player have rolled a ranger these days and even the worst pvpers can top score in minies :P
let me just say add one thing: rangers having all the survivability, CCs, high damage it is fine but the thing is that doesnt make it ok is having the range.
All Rangers have to do is fire from 30 meters away, and i feel so helpless against them. This is what will force you to make concessions, it is the range, since we all know what an advantage this can give players in AoC.
Let me add 1 thing, a friend of mine, he never used to do minis, only done like 4 or 5 minis on his character (you can say he is a noob at pvp). Last week, he came out of 1 mini boasting he had 24 kills to 1 death.... this says a lot.
yeah rangers damage is way too much now its good to see funcom doing somthing about it
Even with my conq they have kill me in a few hits usually before i get close to them.. i charge get knocked down then rooted and then im dead... dont usuall get a hit in.. now mabye there will be an even chance
And traps should have 10 sec cast time!

That would work even with hard stamina drain. People would have time to avoid the traps. I am pretty sure nobody would run around happily and unharmed after a beartrap =). However, the current instant trap is way too easy to plant, requires no skills and with cc+drain effect, it is way too op.
Traps weren't complained about before the revamp added a stam/mana drain to them.
Suddenly, getting the drains fixed have become an effort to nerf the traps into uselessness.
I don't believe a casting time as long as 2s or more is being considered for traps and once the drains are fixed on the traps I certainly won't be advocating for them. 0.1-0.5 (to prevent a Ranger from casting them on the run) is about the extent of it....in line with a certain BShaman ability that's also a CC.
