I'd like to add one thing though with regards to CC's.. As a tank it's really quite annoying to have people do knockbacks once you have the mobs gathered up and tanked in a nice small spot.
Only knockback adds you know you HAVE to cc to avoid certain attacks/spells.. You can use stuns and snares as you please otherwise.

I would like to add something aswell with regards to looting.
Pay VERY close attention to the looting rules for the raid as if you accidently get an item you didn't want or need you will piss off someone who may have been going to that raid for weeks or months to get that item.
If you are not sure ASK what the rules are and people will be happy to explain them. Generally they are only rolling NEED for items for your class and if you have already received one you only roll GREED or PASS on the next.
If you are still not sure just PASS as a GM may not be able (or willing) to sort it out.

Yes.. I just like to add one more time about the cc.
As a tank it is not annoying it is often extremly annoying having someone using knockbacks (or fear for that matter).
Check with the group first when and how to use this.
As a dps barb, it can also be extremly annoying having to miss your combo just because someone decide to throw the mobs around.
And also, help your healers help you. Often most of the heals go in a cone in front of them, try chosing a position so the healer can heal as many as possible at once without having to run around to much.
You can use KB as much as you want, instead of asking if the team wants bad kbs, learn to do it correctly.
Find some normal mobs and study the effects of KB, notice how the kb knocks back the target(who would have thought). Then study how a mob kbed into a wall stops moving backwards when he hits the wall(quite impressive i must say). Now observe when you try to kb a mob into another mob, get a friend to come by, study what happens when you try to kb a mob into a player(i am quite sure the results will blow your mind). Get some more mobs gathered and study how the kb affects each of your targets, and a little spoiler here but did you know your kb dont affect targets you dont hit(i know, it's sick).
When you have done this, you are ready for the kb 101 examn. And after that you can start on kb 102: "how kb bring everyone together". A tank will hug you for your kbs after you have mastered that class.
Primary goal is keep tank's (and group) health if not at 100%, then somewhere right below, while at the same time doing _as much dps as possible_ without pulling aggro.
Keep tanks health up by having bot HoTs (Heal over Time spells, the blue and green heal) and using/stacking whatever extra healing abilities periodically when needed.
Keep the group alive with the green heal and your ccs at the ready, should they pull aggro or adds.
Using your debuffs has more impact longer fights, otherwise use at will but dont spam and waste mana/stamina this way.
