I was determined to try and figure this out on my own but I am having problems. My main used to be a Guardian but I decided to roll a ranger as I love the idea of traps, cc and more dps. My problem is I am far too weak, perhaps it's because my gear is utter crap but surely I should do more dps than I am doing. I am having problems with some mobs in Khitan. The 1st area is ok but I am working on tamaran tigers rep and it takes alot to kill 1 mob, especially as with some have those pets and the pet puts a shield on the mob so u have to take the pet first.

I keep hearing that x bows are better in pvp and that's what I want to become good at eventually but tbh I can't stand the speed, I much prefer bows. i would very much appreciate it if someone could point me towards a very nice sharpshooter build, hybrid would be fine aswell as that is what I am using at the moment, the 1st couple of feats in the waylayer tree are too dood too miss, the first 5 and the concussive blast 1. Apart from those I have most of my point in sharpshooter and of course the necessary ones in the general tree, escape artist, brutality etc.

life is hard in Khitai, get critigation asap that should be your first AA you invest points into.

Build and playstyle are related. In the build threads are a lot of suggestion on builds. If you have specific questions please ask. As a starter a build I use for max damage and supporting CC.
