Q: What's the deal with all these INSANE new promotion offers Funcom is promoting?
Funcom has officially
announced the launch date of our upcoming expansion entitled, 'Rise of the Godslayer'. The expansion will launch on May 11th, and will be available both through retail and as a digital download.
With the official launch date set, we have also launched our official pre-order campaign that gives you the chance to reserve your copy of the full standard edition of the expansion either by digital download or by retail through select retail stores in your region.
In addition to the pre-order campaign, we are also offering special upgrade packages for the Retail Standard Edition Expansion or Digital Standard Edition Expansion. These upgrades offer exclusive in-game items, special in-game bonuses, and free game time for every character on the account in which the upgrade is applied. There are 3 upgrades to choose from and they are listed as the following:
- Collector's Edition Upgrade
- Tortage Survival Pack
- Might of Crom
Q: How do I pre-order my copy of the upcoming expansion?
You can pre-order or purchase new digital products or digital upgrades to your account by logging in to your account page
here. You can immediately unlock new in-game rewards when you purchase them from within your account.
Pre-orders are also available from several retailers / e-tailers.
Q: How do I purchase these HOT new upgrade packages?
You have to purchase either the Retail Standard Edition Expansion or the Digital Standard Edition Expansion in
order to take advantage of the upgrades. The Tortage Survival Pack upgrade is the only upgrade that can be purchased for the core game as well any of the expansion versions (retail or digital and standard or collector's edition).
Q: What are the differences between the Retail Standard Edition Expansion and the Digital Standard Edition Expansion?
Retail means that you are buying the boxed version in a store as compared to downloading the digital version online through our official account system. The retail version also includes a unique in-game social pet (Puma) as well as the virtual items from the Tortage Survival Pack.
Q: Do I need to purchase the Digital Collector's Edition for my Retail Standard or Digital Standard Edition Expansion before I can upgrade with the Might of Crom or Tortage Survival Pack upgrades?
No, these offers are available to anyone who has the expansion and are in no way linked to having the Collector’s Edition. The Tortage Survival pack is available to all non-trial customers and does not require the expansion to upgrade.
Q: I pre-ordered a retail copy of the expansion. When can I purchase upgrades for my expansion?
In
order for retail customers to purchase any of the new upgrades listed above, you will first need to apply the expansion product key to your
account. When the key is applied to your account, we will know that you have purchased a retail version of the expansion. You can then proceed to purchasing upgrades for that expansion.
Q: I made a mistake with my digital pre-order. Can I seek support to correct or refund my order?

Due to the nature of the pre-orders, we can cancel your pre-order before you have been fully billed. If you make a mistake, we can fix it up in no time!
Q: Will there be a Retail Collector's Edition of the Expansion?
No, currently we are not offering any retail versions of the collector's edition. We are only offering a digital version of the collector's edition through our account system. You can upgrade either the retail or digital versions of the expansion with this promotion.
Q: I noticed some of the new upgrades include game time and similar items. Do these stack? (Updated!)
If you purchase just the Might of Crom pack only, this includes the items from the Tortage Survival pack (except the potions) but it does not include the game time. It will then include 60 days of game time in total.
If you purchase both of these packs separately, you will receive both sets of the potions from each pack and the game time. This includes 90 days of game time.
Q: Will the items from the upgrade packages be available for all of my characters on my account?
Yes, all of the items and bonuses can be used for every character on your account. Certain items like consumable potions will not replenish when they have been quaffed for the specific characters that use them. For example, if you claim the items on a existing character and use up all of the potions, then they are gone forever. However, if you make a new character, you can re-claim all of the items and bonuses for that character until they are gone.
Q: Will the experience potions or Alternate Advancement potions be usable by level 80's when we have to start getting faction experience?
No, these are experience potions that only give a bonus to experience points or AA point. Faction points are a entirely different system.
Q: When will I receive all of the other items for the upgrades?
You will receive the rest of the items on the launch of the expansion May 11th, 2010.
