I just tried reconfiguring the keys to my usual layout, which includes using Q and W to sidestep left and right. Apparently I can't do this, because those keys are "reserved"...
Let us map the keys the way we want, Funcom! Don't force YOUR preference down our throats and lock it.
This is just the kind of shortsighted stupidity that made me stop playing "Hellgate: London" btw.
It's a bug. When you get the message that a key is reserved just accept the changes of the controls, enter again the control tab and try to assign that key again. It works for me
My problem is the "W" key, or rather the sidestep functions. I'm not sure. I managed to get Q and W mapped to Left (Q) and Right (W), which works as sidestepping when moving. A compromise, but it does work. However I would have liked to be able to bind Q and W to the actual sidestep functions.
Afaik the Q and E keys are reserved as they are there for later levels when you get 5 directions to attack and not the begining 3.
You can change Q and E, would have been a huge miss if they would reserved those. Would atleast have caused me to be unable to play the game properly seeing how Im a dvorak user. :P
Like Wanderer09 said, accept the changes and then go back and do it again. Works fine for me that way.
In the beta we were able to bind the 0-bar (the bar you showed by pressing the alt key) to different keys then the default bar (bar 1). Why isn't that possible anymore? I had all my directional keys "hidden" there and thus freeing up 3 slots on the main bar.
Oh, right... accept the overall changes. I thought you guys were talking about accepting the key change or something, at first. I'll try that when I get back in. Thanks for the tip.
