Exclamation so guys! are you happy with class balance?

Hello fury server!

so let's stay on topic and talk about this.
I have a 57 necro, a 50 demo,47 ranger(pvp lvl2) and a lvl80 conq,
(pvp lvl 4)..brute spec..


what do you all think about class balance now?
I think the classbalance is completly wrong.
I know it's all teampvp in aoc, but still..
I am looking forward to see what will be done to class balance.
At the moment it is caster vs caster,
and melee vs melee.
THIS IS NOT FUNNY AT ALL.

There is no way you can fight against a necro,tos or demo with a melee class.(maybe hox and bs) 1 vs 1 (IF THE PLAYER KNOWS HOW TO PLAY)

i have almost no chance with my conq.
there is not enough dps on him to get them down....simple as that.
The only chance i have after a knockback or fearcombo is to go frenzy, but it's not enough.
And if i take a hit in frenzy it's game over.

I love age of conan.
I have played this game almost everyday for 1 year.
Therefore i thank funcom and all the guys and girls behind all the work...BUT!!!

Please work more on class balance between caster and melee.
the Dark templar,conqueror,guardian and barbarian do not have enough dps to pvp against the casters and win maybe 1 out of 20 fights if they are lucky.

I mean seriously people..
don't you agree?
i am not here to get you caster's nerfed to hell..
i like playing my casters, but this damage is insaine.


...And most of us have a melee class aswell, and i am sure that those of us that have one agree that at the moment they are so bad it's gamebreaking.

It's not that bad, apart from a couple of glaring issues. At least that's what it feels like as a hox. Demos seem to be superior to all classes in pretty much every way and some classes are pretty useless, such as barb and all soldiers except polearm guardians. The biggest problem here is that all melee buffs are ****ing useless now. Frenzy giving 50% weapon damage? That's like 5% more damage. Definitely not worth giving away half your survivability. Same with hox's exultation of xotli. 90% weapon damage isn't worth the 1 sec casting time.

Also, buffing pet necros was one of the worst decisions FC have ever made. As a hox they're easy to beat as I can just aoe down their pets in 3 seconds, but how is a pure melee class supposed to beat them? Simply not doable. This is only made worse by pets in frenzy giving stagger, meaning you have an unbreakable 50% snare on you constantly. Worst of all is probably blighted ones draining absolutely everything, leaving a meleer unable to do anything else than standing still and get owned. In short, pet necros are a pretty pointless class that can do very little in world pvp, groups, sieges and fights vs. casters, but will tear apart any meleer without the meleer standing a chance at all.

Minigames are more fun now imo but world pvp/duels is boring now; everyone got way to much hitpoints its just who started the fight first, or has the most cc wins.

i hope everyone can write what they think here in a nice way.
so far so good.
i personally feel that i can't do any good dps with my conq anymore, which is my main and the only char i want to play.if you run around alone in common district and meet a necromancer you know you can't win.. simple..you need to run like a girl or fight and die..


the dps is not high enough, but against all melee classes i have a blast..
it is pretty good balanced and very fun!

casters need a damage nerf or guardian,dark templar,conqueror and barbarian's need a damage buff..

on my (57)necro i rode through tarantia and as i was passing this MELEEguy hitting a mob i sent my pets on him and stopped further up the rode laughing watching the dude panic, and run to the guards but he died before that, then i rode further to a villa.. hahaha.. is that pvp??????????????????????????????

Before this patch a necro or demo would be dead really fast if they stod at the same place for to long. They were still OP, but at least they had a small amount of HP so that they would die if we focused fire on them. Now a Havoc demo can just stand there and tank 3 players if he have a healer nearby. Havoc demo has not really changed much(I have one and have always played Havoc), havoc demoes have always been able to do sick dmg with crits, but because they died so fast it was hard to notice. If Fc did increase their HP only a little and not by 120% this game would be so much better atm. But instead they gave demoes and necroes more HP than ToS and PoM and they get hp buff on top of it all.

Qoute from Bache(demo)on VT:

I bet FC hoped they nerfed them by giving planer shift a longer CD, but who needs planer shift with 8k hp?

yeah..something like that.. just adjust hp on caster's or damage, or adjust the overall dps on melee alittle

I dont think Guardian need a damage buff, especially not polearm guardian anyway as tbh im pretty happy with their DPS.

The problems i have with casters are that to damage them we need to be in Frenzy which gives me negative armour mitigation against any class with magic dmg of any sort. We dont have this problem v melee as our armour mitigation remains postive in frenzy.

The other major problem is the abundance of cc these classes have and guardian having zero anti and quite poor cc of their own in tempest spec. Demo can pretty much chain cc me and still hit me for 2k a hit through def stance
Necro also can control you very easily with cc and pet necros especially since their pets keep you snared constantly while sapping every ounce of stamina leaving you unable to fight properly, even had NF necros hit me for 2.5k with Chill
ToS can just dance around you, keeping himself healed while Storm Field slowly destorys you and even if you do get close again ToS has nice cc to control you.
HoX can also very easily control you with CC and giving you very little oppurtunity to fight if they play well

Before this patch you could argue that these classes had so much cc as they were deemed "squishy" but now with the higher hp pools and lower dps in general the arent and their survivability has went up quite a bit so the need for such heavy cc is overkill imo.

Have no real issues with their HP and DMG but if they have both then cc must be toned down or other classes given better anti-cc abilities or anti magic immunities

You lal need large cap of l2p:-)

Joke. Seriously NF despite doing like twice less damage than demo, is still a tank killer atm. But demo is much cooler, they heal now very well from pet, and deal 3k damage every 2.5 seconds.

I can deal 2.5k crit with chill but I need around 10 seconds to prepare it.

that is a point.
the guardian's dps(polearm) is pretty good now..


..anyways i think something must be done to caster's damage/hp or melee dps/hp to balance it better...


or something else..
