GUYS! Us! Ye us bow rangers should have MOST DPS on a single target!! The only classes that should have more on a single target is the Assassin, Barbarian and the Herald Of Xolti. Demo, necro, tos, pom, bs got AOE or HEAL so we should have more dmg than all of them when it comes to single target DPS.

No you shouldn't. You have superior range.

If you had most single-target DPS combined with superior range, you'd be OP.

Melee DPS needs to have more DPS because they land hits less often than Ranged DPS. It's simple mathematics.

The point was, we don't. We have inferior range. A Havoc demo can do more DPS in an AoE strike at a longer range than we can achieve without spending gear budget on it.

He has longer range, is hitting more people and doing more damage to all of them. As a single-target class, it's pretty fair to assume that we might be able to do more damage to a single target over longer range. Because we're not hitting 12 people at once.

Well, that doesn't mean the Ranger should be buffed or our range increased. It's more the fact that Demo needs a nerf, perhaps to both damage and range.

you think that's gonna dent a Demo? the only way to counter a Demo is make them easy to kill quickly, they should be "the" glass cannon of AoC, right now they just have way to much survivability.

Of course there HP and survivabilty should be decreased too, but that wasn't the subject here. It was about Ranger's range and dmg.

well its only common sense to assume that a class that can not splash damage and can only attack a single target at a time should have high damage on that target, currently Bow Ranger is that only class, and since they sacrifice aoe damage for fast attacks and further range its safe to assume they should have one of the furthest Ranges in the game. weather Funcom decides to go up with Rangers or down with demos is a whole other argument, I personally hate to see any class nerfed.

I would much rather see melee/ranger buffed more DPS nerfs just screw up raiding even more, and this game already has way to many CCs, should drop everyone down to 2 CCs max 1 from leveling 1 from feats or maybe 3 1 in each feat tree.

and honestly a damage nerf will just make that Demo kill you when he is at 50% health instead of 75%
