Try to execute this in the game, not in the forum. You will be set back on ground about this matter. You will end up frozen and Linebreaker (unfinished) on CD. Then you get the first DoTs in. Unless you opponent is not afk, alot of the neat combolines and good looking theory is void by reality.

Don't say that Fainth. There is allways a way to kill people in lvl 80. I have raided alot to collect gear for PvP. So far i only miss the T2 quiver then i have all T2 + damage gear. T2 bow, T2 Wrist, T2 Gloves, T2 Quiver. Only have T1 Quiver atm.

But as a result i have 257,2 DPS on my bow in my PvP Gear. And with my Burst/AoE specc i can take down certain guardians easy. Still the top tier pvp lvl 4-5 is still hard since i am still pvp Lvl 3

- scaling nature evade for spells from 5-15% depending on class and race with option to feat or skill some 5 more % should fix age of casters. not the damage of spells because spells should do horrific damage but there should be way(not buttoned) for anyone to not be affected.

- nature stamina regen should be higher from start as we are runners.
Hell, thers alot of thoughts in this that i had in the past time. Good job at writing(some) of what i thought.

Hmm i think i can say i know the timings of my class and still i end up face down when i just try to follow some certain "manual to win". Vs Caster i usually start up with some less important combo, awaiting the certian sleep/stun (Iceblock,Cobrastare) just to pop the important ones after the danger of being Instant-interrupted is low. That mostly works and i end up almost dead with my opponent dead. But still its a lap dance bare feet on nails.

Maybe i get always the real good players of their classes or i am worse than i think. Then again sometimes i just steamroll a Necro or ToS and think "okay that guy must have been new to biz" since i know what difficulties i usualy have.

Well the ranger class is one of the hardest classes to play in lvl 80. You should be proud that you go the hard way and not the easy way

But i have to admit that necros and demos isnt easy because of their DoTs and nukes. Necros have DoTs ticking on me for 500-600 all the time. Gives me about 10 sec Before i die.

Yeah thats about the time i usualy fight for as well. Its over in 10 seconds, one way or the other. Takes some longer against melees unless Barbs.

I love it when a necro waits to use freeze tell your piercing shot is almost ready to fire and shattering stance procs lol!

ye can happend,and if you are hybrid xbow with ricochet and your enemy is melee, and you are lucky enough,to have the procs one after the other.
But i dont like to win with lucky procs,i want my attacks to be based to skills and not to luck.

What about the dps of diferent salvo's?

---------I-----II---III----IV------V
at 80 : 394 / 532 / 927 / 1022 / 1198

we can notice that the 3 last ranks are very similar.
Flame barrage is about like salvo V, so not much better.
Then, in 15-80 levels, pin down gain 1 sec, 5%snare and 100 damage...whao impressive.
level 19 combos melee are a joke against every class.
our range is cancelled by any charge.

Its not a good one but, read the class description in the booklet...
"Ranger can kill a caster with a SINGLE arrow."
So far from the truth.

Lets be clear i dont want to OS clothe, its just a funny thing in the aoc booklet.

My solutions :
give to pin down more damage, less CD and a charge silencer.
(the target cant charge anymore for a while)
and then a lv 80 melee combo with effective dps on it.
And Remove the dodge parry miss change on arrows. or add it to everyone including caster.(specialy when the target is KB on the ground, and dodge or parry your shot...thats very spectacular)

I wont speak about the other combos like the one who give -2% on something during 5 seconds because we all know they all are useless in pvp

+1 up fire trap for more damage and a 50% miss chance for the target.
(not easy to attack when you are burning)

This looks like a whine thread and things to make your life as a ranger easier. I'm a ranger myself, and in pvp at level 80 I feel quite overpowered, even though you state that we're weak. I find this very missleading, since I'm actually able to take on most players in pvp on my server(crom). When it comes to raids, we lack dps ofc. So probly, we should get more dps, so we can actually do something in raids, but ... you know not to hard to roll a new class for raids, it's going to take time to balance every class in the game.

But to make things better:
FIX trap
FIX Stealth
FIX Our attacks hitting through walls, though I think salvo should be able to keep on hitting even though they pass a wall, you see, we're combo users not mages. When a barbarian can hit us while using a combo, while we're 10m away, I think we should be able to hit someone behind the corner if we're in a combo.

So funcom it's up to you:
Remove everything of hitting from distance, and though things.
Keep it the way it is, so all can do it.
OR you can remove ranger combos and make them be 1 buttom combos so all rangers are like mages, and during the cast time of ...heartseeker, if they go behind walls, you'll not hit them. Fair enough? If mages can just cast spelsl and be stopped we should also be able to ''cast'' insted of having to use a long combo and have to stop with the last hit cuz they get behind a wall.
