I will only list items that have a DIRECT benefit to a HoX (+fire damage etc). Generic gear that can be useful to other classes will not be listed here as they are common and you can find those on you're own.

WEAPONS

HoX can use 4 types of weapons: Two-Handed Swords, Crossbows, Daggers and Talismans. The main weapon that is linked to HoX combos is the Two-Handed Sword an currently even though there are epic HoX daggers and Talismans, there is nothing really to support them in the HoX toolset. Crossbows are mainly just for pulling and doing damage when you cannot melee.

Firecaller Sword (58)- dropped by roaming Ymirish Boss (level 60) in Ymir's Pass

Bloodhunter Claymore (72)- quest "The Mongrel Menace II. They Run For The Hills" in Kheshatta

Sunflare Axe (73)- quest "Proof of Raiders II." in Atzel's Approach.

Raidreaper Claymore (77)- Not sure, probably a quest in kheshetta.

Nggoth (24)- quest "Azusenas Revenge II. Red Rewards" in Khopsef Province.

Frostmaim (31)- quest "Mayhem in the Fortress" in Conall's Valley.

Ancient War Scythe (39)- Dropped by Archaic Queen Statue, Boss in epic Treasury of the Ancients.

Vyre (40)- Dropped by Acheronian Warlord in Sanctum of the Burning Souls.

Hunger (40)- Drops from Master Torturer in the Pyramid of the Ancients (100% drop rate in epic)

Luctus (41)- quest "The Spiders Antidote - III." in Tarantia Noble District.

Blacksever (48)- world drop

Cry for War (50)- quest "The Arena Black One II." in the Armsman's Arena.

Talion (53)- quest "Cleansing the Tomb I. Toirdealbach's Final Battle" in Toirdealbach's Tomb.

Wolfslayers Edge (56)- culture weapon.

The only thing you can pair with a Dagger is a Talisman on a HoX so here are the ones that give good bonuses for HoX.

Mainly used for pulling so +range modifier is the main focus here. If you cant get one of these, dont worry. Any blue crafted xbow has a +range modifier on it but its is however lower than these ones.

Set Armour

Unfortunately, HoX don't get a complete set of armour that is specifically for them until level 40 so until then, just use what you can find since it doesn't really matter anyway.

Dark Ember Set

You can find this any level between 40 and 69, it drops off bosses in epic modes of playfields. The best place to get such a set would be Fields of the Dead, the haunted Forest. There is a large concentration of bosses inside there and you can bag yourself a neat set of level 50ish armour there that can last you until your mid 60s. The armbands, belt, wrist and boots are also BoE which means you can probably find them on the trader rather than going out yourself to hunt them. The rest is BoP so you must do the killing yourself for the better pieces.

P.S. One of the best armour sets in terms of looks by FAR. Easily worth farming just for social purposes.

Nemedian Cursecaller Set

This is the new culture armour set for level 78/79 that was added a while ago. Looks horrible and stats aren't brilliant (Only the gloves and cap are worth getting imo) but if you are a collector freak then here is the set listed for you .

Wildfire Set

Obtained in a similar way to the Dark Ember set, you have to kill epic bosses level 70+ for these. Most common way to get this set is to go to kheshetta in an epic instance and kill bosses there. Again only the hood, robes, gloves and pants are BoP, you can buy the rest.

Bloodseer Set (Tier 0)

This is obtained by killing bosses in the level 80 group dungeons: Onyx Chambers and Atzel's Fortress. It's actually no better than the Wildfire set (probably worse in fact) and its harder to get, but if you're looking to be original or just want it for the sake of it here is where to get it.

Bloodseer's Cowl- Black Ring Slave Mistress, Onyx Chambers.

Bloodseer's Armbands- Menhotep, Atzel's Fortress

Blooseer's Robe- Osithmes, Atzel's Fortress

Bloodseer's Sash- Jaleel the Scirocco, Onyx Chambers

Bloodseer's Wristbands- Wreckbone, Onyx Chambers

Bloodseer's Gloves- Kesh, Onyx Chambers

Doomsayer Set (PvP)

Obtained from PvP vendors, this set can only be worn when you have the correct PvP level and is the best set to wear while PvPing apart from possibly the head, wrists and gloves (which could be tier armour) depending if you want damage or invulnerability. Once the re-itemisation patch hits I will probably expect the PvP armour to be better outright.

This set is obtained by downing bosses in the 3 raid instance in Cimmeria; Yakhmar's Cave, Vistrix's Lair and Kylikki's Crypt.

Infernal Zeal Set (Tier 2)

This is obtained by killing various bosses in the Black Ring Citadel instance, wings 1-3. You must have killed Vistrix and completed the level 80 destiny quest to obtain access to the Black Ring Citadel. Currently the best PvE armour set available.

N.B. I cant seem to find any pictures of the T2 bracers, if anyone could post them that would be greatly appreciated.
