Hey Kurt. I wasn't being facetious (or whatever). I was just giving my view of how I like RP. I joined AoC beginning 2010 (only got going end 2010 because of Interweb probs), precisely because I wanted to RP with other people, instead of having my crazy solo stories from games such as BG2 and NWN2, Oblivion, Skyrim etc. So I understand what you mean, but PvP-RP is a core part of RP for me, partly because the game is centred on fighting in PvE and PvP, so fighting is part of RP for me.
The reasons you cite as the reason you joined RP-PvP server are similar to my own. I understand that the closure of the RP servers reduced the reasons to stay on a PvP server.
So yeah, questing and fighting with and against other RP players in a fantasy game is the whole reason for me playing an MMO at all.
Yeah, you are right that there is too much magic in AoC compared with REH’s world. But what the hey, it makes for interesting flame matches when the person on global has been owned (yet again) by the necro/hox/tos/demo/dt…etc.
For mobile Pit-quest-storyline-RP thingy, it looks as if Wednesdays are the most widely acceptable day, so I suggest on Wednesdays we start something. Galadh, Lady Elyssa and old Balorac. If you have a char on Fury, plz join us. We could use the extra arm.
