One to five people in the Thunder River area at peak hours are not making a large player base for Mitra or Crom. I signed the petition in favor of mergences.

Problem solved, why should germans be treated better than french, spanish, polish and russian players?

I did the survey and the questions did not relate to Waldgeists explanation. So there might have been a big misunderstanding...merging a pve with a pvp server while there are other pve and pvp servers still around does not make sense.
ze germans are in power, they are deciding what will happen. tis funny to read an official response after every 2-3 posts on german forums. also funny thing is they want Asgard, Mitra and Crom to be merged and free transfers for ppl that want to play on fury..

So if language is the barrier here why do you want to merge with Crom? if not why leave fury out of things?

Thats really funny how funcom cant manage basic things....first they tell to their customers something and then they change it etc etc....

My thoughts about content updates:

Sure it will be fine to have a constant flow of content update.
But i would prefer a real expansion like godslayer over little pieces every month.
The reason is, the game need more active players, i think all agree to this.
To get new players a well made expansion that will be tested on gaming sites and magazins is better than small updates. No site or magazin write a test about a mini content update. So no potential new player hear about AoC.
A good test is the best advertisement.


About merging germans to crom:

Don`t ask them, merge them.
We germans are always afraid to try something new and have to be pushed.

It might work both ways, like Texator says or with smaller steady upgrades. The amount of new players from a big campaign might as well be the same as from successfull mouth to mouth advertising that something changed in the house of funcom. The problem is just that there is a trust problem.

I can't honestly advertise AoC knowing the history of Khitai and Turan (turan at least did not drive players away like khitai in the first months of unfixed exploits and grind increase in pve/pvp as well as tigers and wolves everwhere), promising friends that it will be great with all the other incoming risky changes. Imo, funcom should prove first through smaller SUCCESSFULL upgrades (house of crom was not bad, the unchained versions not bad etc.) that they have a vision of instance development again (difficultywise and lootwise, atmosphere and graphics were never their problem).
And even the best addon/expansion will backfire, if they mess up sprint and crafting due to an external deployed time table or artificial decisions or needs at the cost of testing and listening to the players. And if you do a costly campaign or write things in magazines that turn out later to be false, you might end in more than a mess than if you did nothing.

Funcom seems to be searching for two new employers for Age of Conan team at the moment a "Senior environmental artist" and "Junior Programmer" So i guess they are still trying to put some effort developing stuff or then old team has left FC or moved to TSW
