exactly but on old system we had combo finishers on left and rightside now its treated like a caster and so the combo finisher is always front. lame coding by FC tbh and the worst revamp they have done. everything they did we didnt ask for (i say we as in the long time ranger community )

I said it right after the revamp already: THe flexibilty and options have been reduced by removing attack directions from combo finishers (if i remember you had 2 right side (slow and debuff (or dps? not 100% sure there), 3 left side (dps, debuff, dot) and 2 mid ones (dps, quick), now you have 2 left side (debuff, dot) and 2 mid ones (dps) and 1 right side (no dps, useless slow), not counting in the feated ones).
People who put all shields to front before the revamp had to deal with good damage from side attacks back then or a heartseeker. Also shield handling in pve is definitely awful now. Either there is a visual delay or it is not working (sometimes my white hits or a quick shot to a shielded side deal more damage than a combo finisher to a seemingly unshielded side).

Also i still don't like the focus on hitcrit (but this seems to be now for every class) at the cost of steady dps, traps to do dps. Also i really miss the stances, advantages are not that bad...but a mix would be far better. Advantages could represent the choice of ammo, while stances speak for themselves. Also while the balancing of bow and crossbow might be good, i still miss the branching in the feat tree between some aoe style and a ranged single target style. If melee would be an option at least, but the johnny one combo (deft stabs) ranger is stupid.

i Still play also, but after the rewamp i couldnt find any fun in ranger anymore, so its other classes now

nice .now try again with a ranger not wearing full t4 with 50% crit chance and crit damage.

Ps.i've seen many t2/khitai geared demos hit harder than that :P

The real reason was then after Ranger´s revamp the class was horribly OP which was comment usually by: "it is so funny to play it now" (understand: I can do with oponents whatever I would like to) or "regardless where I invest points in feat build it works now" (understand: even I made stupid build I can kill everything on sight)

it was horribly bugged too, 'cos upper and lower buffs did not apply correctly very often, which made almost pointless to try to play the class they way it was supposed to be played, and actually encouraged the use of "naked" finishers...
after 3 nerfs (thanks to pvp whinefest) and bugs still not solved, i had almost stopped to play my main, and i restarted only when they fixed the bugs...

you mean with cloth armor and half range?

Lets face it t4 armor weapons are op in pvp.

But then again all of this has been said gazillions of times over at the TL forum even before the nerfs went life - in vain. FC just didn't (doesn't) care.
