CR but goes against the mobs fire resistance I think. Just use Demon Maw and you should notice no difference whlie Exultation buffs the damage up quite a lot. Same for Fire Lance.

Pillars seems buffed by weapon damage and melee damage buffs only, not combat rating (but I could be wrong there).

Searing Hatred is nice DOT in T3, Tian'an, and T2 raids, but not so great on single target DPS.

Adds around 600-800 damage over 15 seconds to your Pillars. Definitely makes it a better combo than it is, and it's brilliant if many trash around. I wouldn't spend points in it for end-game though.

I dont use Searing Hatred as an other hox can only refresh it. :/ Ridiculous for 6 feat points.
