I think anyone above the age of 25 has played D1+2. It was such a huge game, its probably one of the major titles in gaming history. So a lot of people will buy it even if only for the legacy feeling...
Me personally, I am a bit concerned I won't enjoy it as much as D2. The reason being that back when D2 came out, times were different and D2 was unique. There were little alternatives to it. No, over 10 years after, gaming has changed a lot and the alternatives are boundless. Especially after playing MMOs, with all the QQ and whining that comes with it... My point is that in spite of the changes they made from D2, the essence of D3 will be the same and the game style might be outdated for me at least...
Sure, I'll give it a go once for the story and the lore, but I don't think I'll be motivated enough to go through the different difficulty levels and all that grind crap...

I think right now there is no rpg like diablo show me some I cant find any.....diablo 3 is coming when we go hungry for diablo-like rpgs ;-) and dont forget its not mmorpg its rpg with possibility to play with some friends
The thing I am most attracted to D3 is just the ability to smash stuff when you are bored. I will play it pretty hard at the start but then after a bit will basically play D3 on nights when I am not raiding in AoC. MMOs really need a group to do most of the fun things where D3 doesnt but has the possibility of co-op which is fun.
I don't see the hype. It's just Diablo with real life money. Although being Diablo it makes it far more interesting than the other trash games (GW2/TERA/TSW)
