I am scared of the change, to be honest. It might ruin both PvP and PvE if it becomes too casual-friendly and put casters further up the food chain in PvP.
I am very happy with the current stamina system, but I would love to see fatigue back; so that more prudent management comes in effect.

eh, for a caster the whole "prudent management" in a minigame would be about going to the opposite corner of the map where there is no action at all, otherwise you´re stuck in combat, regenerate almost zero stamina and must deal with the fatique debuff for the most part of the minigame. The "fatique" mechanic might have been ok in the era, when every class could use stamina pots, but after disabling them for casters, they were fatiqued all the time and thus the mechanic has been cancelled some time later.

Then fatigue could be a 20-second debuff. Funcom should work on complexity.

I really really hope they don't copy TSW running.

Would also make a mockery of the invigoration perk and various mount sprint drain %. If I won't be able to sprint constantly on my horse, like I can now on most classes ... there will be blood.

We are aware of the issues related to hiding the sprint resource. There's a few tricky issues when it comes to exposing the resource amount, but we might be able to find a way to at least give you an indication. Just remember that even if your target has no sprint resource left, they are still be able to fully regenerate this in combat by conserving it. The resource amount and regeneration is supposed to be higher than what is available in the old system, but we aim to eliminate as many of the "imbalances" the old system suffers from.

dont forget that casters shouldnt be able to sprint as far as melees otherwise it will be doom for melees again.....and dont forget if it will be invisible then how can we report cheaters?

Did you even read the letter? They do mention both of those and say they will change them accordingly.

Tbh reading the letter it looks like they know what they're doing so let's wait and see (and give feedback on testlive).

You know what pains me the most ?
I have a strange feeling Funcom is working with turtle style.
When poms 2-3 years ago asked for revamp, cause we were at the bottom with everything, funcom didnt do anything to improve the class directly. But then AA came out and poms became pretty balanced class with some flaws that could have been solved with lil feat changes, nothing drastical. Now when poms were pretty much quite we got a shocking revamp. 2 years later.
And I have a very strange feeling, this is exactly the same. People complained years ago, about casters sprinting like crazy and hard times for melees and 1 of the suggestion in that time was to make for sprinting another bar.
Now when I dont see anyone complaining about sprinting and stamina drains, cause it seems pretty balanced and funcom comes with this after again 1-2 years ?? This is amateurish, incompetent and DILETTANTISH !
And regarding Fatigue, movement is the best part of pvp, with fatigue u will make people stationary,so no thanks.

If you keep your shift key pressed all the time, you will be fatigued and stationary of course. It still was a skill factor to exactly evade this with any class while fatigue still existed.
Otherwise i share the fears...if funcom makes it just another pool of resource, why change it?
I am not against a change, i would just prefer to get a transparent view of why things are changing. And please not ressrevamp style like "to prevent resspadfarming" when your new system encourages this actually.
The only good things i find is that they say to adress the other inbalancies. Sadly though, that opinions may differ what is inbalanced or not when not even the bugs are gone.
