to the OP:
there is really no rotation for ranger. Just debuff your targets before dps'ing them and don't forget to "hammer" your Quick Shots once the good stuff is on cooldown.
Use only (!) the dps buff before every "combo", in the same time of continous execution you won't get any better dps by doing otherwise (talking about pve).
For the rest it's more about
: do the right thing at the right time.
---> my actual Jack-of-all-trades build at lvl 80:
(for lvling I would go Sharpshooter + General)
http://aoc.yg.com/feat-planner?class...740-11,1738-15
(feel free to take one point from leghold trap and put it in clever trapping if you need the effect on more than 3 mobs/players).
Groups will love you with Advantage Recuperation (3.7K stamina to the whole group in 10 secs) and Advantage Absolute Precision (more than 1K hit rating free for all

for many secs, both including yourself, ofc).
get a bit of raid gear/kithai blues, nice accessories and a good bow (Eggy-mountains quest one is a good one to start with) + nice arrows and you are more than fine
AA-feat-wise you should pick up all passive protections and passive dps/combo boosts, decisive + pressing strikes, finely honed, tainted weapons and Liberation, Deadly Draw + Jarring Shot.
Why not specced in general tree ?
Because as ranger you aren't supposed to get hit that much and Lethality gives you a tiny sustained dps compared to better dots and all the rest. For anti CC use maxed Liberation and with this build you WON'T have ANY stamina probs (not many know, not even FunCom I guess

, that Advantage Recuperation gives strange passive things which aren't mentioned even in your combat log). Maxed Liberation gives you a good dps boost, too, so no need to get Lethality.
And please, try to play with sword + shield switch, too.
Using this is a good way to snare/finishing off mobs and get rid of "intelligent" pvp'ers by combining it with advantage:fire attack O.o
It works for me, maybe it works for you, too.
ahh, best advice: have fun
