Question recipe drop question

Hello, im trying to travel around hyboria looking for drops of recipes for armorsmith and weaponsmith.

While searching, sometimes i team up with lower level players (im currently lvl80) to help them with epic dungeons and somethimes i find recipes of level 40,50,60,70 (depending on the level the instance is or the epic mobs/boss).

If i try to find alone recipes of, say, level 40,50 (entering the instances on epic mode) i never find a single recipe of that level but if i bring along someone with level 40,50 the chance of a recipe raises...

So, my questions are:
1 - the recipe drop probability is higher when we are on group???
2 - the recipes only drop to the level of my character (if im level 80 i can only find level 80 recipes)???
3 - both question 1 and 2 are correct
4 - or its just a coincidence

It's strange, but it's what i have noticed, i should also tell you i found some recipes when i was questing alone and they were the same level my character was at the time.

thanks, in advanced

its number 4 recipe drop is just random low % chance.

You have city recipes which have low % chance to drop from mobs in open world usually you get them while just questing and thus are about same lvl as you.

also recipes from dungeons like catacombs drop basic culture armor from last boss. they are around the lvl of the instance etc.

ok, thanks for the answer (i hopped it was number 4)...

but i still think that in group chances are higher, for example (i have to explain by steps my theory to explain better):

1ºRule - With a group of six players everyone is weaponsmither;
2ºRule - There will be a certain chance of dropping a recipe for a weapon to each of the member;
3ºRule - Everyone on the group can see whats inside a drop chest/crate/bag
4 - Now here's my theory -> If in a certain a drop chest/crate/bag only one of the members had "positive" (got lucky) chance to obtain a recipe, everyone will have the right to need/greed/pass; a few drops later another different member has its "positive" chance and all members in the group will have again a chance to obtain it by need/greed/pass system, etc;
this means that i can get two or more recipes when drop chances are low for my character and high for a another group member....

Conclusion: mathematically (the formula for drop rate that funcom uses in the game) its always the same but, in reality, chances get "higher" when on group with more than one element having the same skill...

I should also say that one time, when on group, i got a chance to obtain a gemcutter recipe, and this happened because someone on the group was a gemcutter, and since on group everyone shares the loot by need/greed/pass system i got the chance to get a recipe i could not use ....

I think my theory is solid, what do you think?

P.S.: one other question
i was an alchemist at low level character and then i changed to weaponsmith, and at that time i found a recipe and learned the crafting of "Woodcutting: Ashen Walking Stick" and after changing to weaponsmith i did not loose that craft.
so my question is: do i loose the ability to craft the armor/weapon that i found or do i only loose the basic armor/weapon crafting learned from trainers?

Item drops are not based on who opens the chest, or that person's available crafting skills, or the crafting skills of anyone in the group. Chest contents are set when the chest spawns, not when it's opened.

Some recipes only drop in group or raid instances and more difficult enemies generally have better chance for higher tier loot, but apart from that being in a group does not improve drop chances.
