This is something I quickly came up with when I was playing with the idea of making a Khitan RP guild.

Yun, the supreme God of the east and lord of the underworld, watched over the God-Emperors of Khitai and granted them power.
For millenias the question of imperial succession was handeled by the Temple of Yun.
This holy mandate given to them by their God gave them great power and influence within the Khitan Empire, their word was absolute for it could either bless or doom any future Emperor.
But now the balance and the universial order of the world have been broken, a treacherous usurper now sits on the Imperial throne, one who have not been chosen by the priests of Yun.
This is in defiance of the very will of Yun and his divine wisdom.
Fearful of their weakened influence the Priests of Yun have called on one of the most ancient of military orders the Word Bearers of Yun, who for a thousand years have trained and dwelled within their fortified monastery.
The Word Bearers are an independent order aligned with the priests of Yun and they often act as the military arm of the Temple and are tasked with enforcing and spreading the will of Yun through out the Khitan realm and fighting the many enemies of the temple like the feeble followers of Yag.
The Word Bearers of Yun are also involved in the captuering of slaves who are sacrificed in honor of their god.



Ranks within the Word Bearers of Yun:

Great Word Bearer - Leader of the order

Elder Word Bearer - The council of elders is the governing body of the order

The Attained - These are hand picked picked retaineers of the Great Word Bearer who act as his servants and bodyguards

Senior Word Bearer - Word Bearers who have proven themselves exceptionally worthy will be promoted to senior Word Bearers, they are tasked with recruiting and training initiates

Word Bearer - the Word Bearers are members of the order, any initiate who survive the training and rituals set forth by his master will granted the title of Word Bearer

Initiates - These are the raw recruits, the initiates have to go through rigious training and rituals overseen by their master(a senior Word-Bearer), those who succeed will become full
members of the order and earn the name of a Word Bearer

*All members are addressed as Word Bearers with the expection of the Great Word Bearers and Elder Word Bearers who are addressed with their proper titles and names.
