The main god of the Turanians' Erlik is obviously based of the Turkic god with the same name:

Also the Turanians claim descendent from the eastern nomadic Hyrkanians:

This in my view alludes to the Turanians being a Turkic inspired group of people.

Exactly. Has some persian influence but mainly seljuq.

Also write "seljuq architecture" in google and you'll find pictures with buildings that look very similar to the turanian buildings in the game.
