Greetings. I wonder if the recipe books arent visible to chars without profession?

The thing is i recently traveled to atzel with a group. My char got only architect profession and through the whole fortress i saw no recipes or books at all from the lootboxes, though group leader linked a few recipies to chat after we were done (obviously to demonstrate the foundings). Also he insisted to open lootboxes first (though loot options were free for all and he couldnt hide anything before we see what dropped). And i noticed hes char was doing some hand movement (like when you craft) while he was opening chests.

So the question is what did i get wrong and how did he received new recipes without me even seen it. Or it is only my imagination and he just randomly linked those recipes for unknown reason?

What were the loot options? Anyway, you could see the chest open and items listed on your screen if it was set to "Master Looter".
It is polite to let the group leader open the chest first, and I do not think he let you down.

First of all, Atzel Fortress don't have any recipes for architect. Check what professions have your RL. May be he pick up some alchemy resources and make food or bottles to find some empty place in resource inventory. Also, characters don't make any "some hand movement" when they learn something new - learning recipes don't have any animation.
