“I see the market place below us, Master. I see traders with fat purses and with each, a scribe to note down each sale, each purchase, each coin. I see whores with tattooed arms and there, an urchin darts through the throng. Looking to cut a purse no doubt. Over there, a group of aged men sit in the shade, playing senet and talking of past days. Up on the hill, I see the palace of our lord governor, the King's loyal servant. They say he has a harem of twelve concubines and a bodyguard of Shemite swordsmen. If I screw my eyes against the sun, I can just make out labourers on the fields beside the river ...”

“A good account boy. Now tell me what each of these men and women of Stygia has in common? No? Then I shall tell you. Tradition. They shall live their lives the way that we have lead them for thousands of years. They shall do this because it is right. Our ways, our gods have preserved us through countless generations.

“Do not think that all Stygians live and die within the borders of our land though, boy. You will find sons and daughters of Stygia in many places. A sorry bunch in the main. They forget tradition. They adopt the barbaric ways of foreigners; their dress, their speech.

“And then there are those men, those extraordinary men, who leave this land yet remain within it.”

“How is this possible, Master? To leave Stygia but also stay?”

“Because, foolish boy, they carry Stygia with them in their hearts.”




Ankh Djet is a Stygian Themed RP-PvP-PvE guild and we are looking for people to join our ranks. We roleplay as a band of Stygians, their henchmen and guards, who travel Hyboria in search of wealth and adventure, while remaining fiercely loyal to our traditions and our gods.

We are primarily a roleplaying guild. If you are not interested in roleplaying then this is not the guild for you. If you are interested in roleplaying then we can offer;

• Regular and spontanious RP events.
• Friendly and helpful members who are not just interested in RP, but are active in PvP and PvE also.
• A guild city that is part way through building Tier 3.

Which Races Can Join Ankh Djet?

Stygians of course, of all classes, but that is not all. Our roleplay can also include allies, mercenaries, servants and hirelings from the lands neighbouring Stygia. We are and will remain, people of the south west of Hyboria. The map below shows the area we will draw out characters from.

So what does this mean in game terms?

'Stygian' characters can obviously play as Stygians or could also be used to represent characters from the lands of Punt, Darfar, Kush, Keshan or the Black Kingdoms.

'Aquilonian' characters can be played as Shemites or people from Turan or Iranistan. 'Aquilonian' soldiers are especially welcome. If you wish to play as a 'PoM' then you could roleplay a Shemite priest of Ishtar or a priest of Asura from Iranistan for example.

'Khitai' characters can be included at a stretch if played as people from the eastern most end of Iranistan or from Turan.

We will not be accepting characters rolled as Cimmerians. We do not think they are suitable to be used to roleplay a Southerner.



There are three golden rules we shall follow;

Rule 1. Make your character fit the part. We expect Stygian characters to have suitably Stygian names and try to look Stygian in their RP gear. By the same token, if you want to RP a Shemite, then try to ensure you have a suitable name and try to look as much like you imagine a Shemite to look, as is possible within the restrictions of the game.

Rule 2. Applications from foreign races are encouraged for classes which Stygians cannot be. Soldiers, 'Aquilonian' barbarians, 'Khitai' Bear Shamans' and so on. However, when it come to those classes which can be Stygians, then we'd rather you played a Stygian. We would much rather accept a Stygian Assassin than an 'Aquilonian' Assassin for example.

Rule 3. This is a roleplaying guild and we have a firm idea about what we want our guild to be. If you wish to join us, then the expectation is that you make your character fit the guild – not the other way around. No exceptions.
