Hello, regarding the implementation of a window developed in flash, I have reason to believe that in AoC, can not be loaded a movie in Flash 10 and Actionscript 3.0, is not it?

If this were true, what version of Actionscript and Flash working?

I've only tried using CS4/AS3 Flash files in-game and am having problems. I haven't tried any AS2 files yet, though I hope they will work better. Looks like I'll have to find old AS2 books now, lol.

From my understanding, the new Flash UI elements are actually made in ScaleForm, which is a 3rd-party Flash extension application which is based off of the older AS2.

Think you are right about ScaleForm, haven't been able to find any press releases confirming it though


Anybody got a game dev buddy that have access to play around with the ScaleForm tools, might just give us some insight.

Yeah, that's also my guess.

But so far, nothing tell us that the whole GUI will be revamped. I mean the hotbar, portraits, group/raid windows, etc...

Until now only "new elements" were developed in flash.

I read a little bit about Scaleform, the GUI is developed with Scaleform Clik which to me seems like a plug-in to Flash.

A guy on stackoverflow, said that you get the Clik tool for free with the "kit" (sdk/license). Maybe we can get a trial/test/... version.
