What the...

I'm not used to seeing the words "traps" and "working" that close to each other in a sentence.

I ask that if you can please get on TL and test them as much as possible asap.

Bull... The last helpful thing a ranger can do for his team before dying is lay his trap. In group PvP its really helpful to be able to lay a trap from a great distance and not just 60 meters!

Given a choice I'd prefer the buggy traps we already have! Suppose they need testing then our advocates can petition them for an amend.

wow seriously? tears really? one of Rangers top issues and people bitch, I'm ashamed. Its sad that you have come to rely on traps trapping your target after you die, that right there should tell you something is wrong. /facepalm

Ok perhaps a tad hasty of me. Indeed failing traps are a problem and could definitely be made more reliable. thats a given, but making them disappear after a ranger has died seems bit of a knee jerk reaction. A lot of times in group pvp a ranger is going be quite high on the target list and keeping a target or targets busy before dying is a large part of group pvp. One ranger keeping 3 people tied up for 10 seconds can mean scoring a point in a mini game or not.

I hate to be dead and the trap activated... I prefer to the trap work when is intented and take down opponents before die.

I don't thing so, why do u want to trap someone that is not in combat... 1000 m away? I don't see the point.

1/ Placing traps a long distance away is awesome against larger zergs who run around without regard to keeping together. We have often used this tactic to great effect trapping a couple of soldiers whilst the rest of the zerg runs after a quick footed Sin allowing a stealth team to take down the two poor stragglers

2/ Rangers are already pretty high on a group PvP kill list because the range we have gives us a massive advantage. Xbow rangers will tear big groups apart when left unchecked. Most good PvP groups will go for us after pesky casters have been dealt with. In regards to a duel of course traps disappearing when you die is not an issue. In group PvP buying your team every second is vital. I don't spec cheat the reaper anymore but on a couple of occasions you might be lucky enough to get a res next to a trapped soldier you managed to snare before hitting the ground

I'm not saying that traps should be more reliable however.

Do you know how long 60m is in game? thats like 4x our range should be plenty far enough for covert operations such as you speak.

More classes can remove a trap...( a shaman can untrap entire group), a good team never left 2 soldiers in a trap ... 60 m away from the battle.. and I never care about a player outside my range, especially if it is 60 meters away.

Good pvp groups focus on casters & healers... and stun/fear/root ... or put a soldier with them making the ranger lose the main focus to survive.
