What is AoC QS.NET?

AoC QS.NET autostart when you start Age Of Conan.
It is not necessary to start Age of Conan using a special shortcut button or launcher

Configure AoC QS.NET ones and start Age Of Conan as your used to,
it will make sure your customized xml files are up to date before launching Age Of Conan.

If you like to have feedback from AoCQS.NET tick "Show log file
and AoCQS.NET will display the log after you exit AgeOfConan.

How do I deactivate or remove AoC QS.NET?

If you want to temporarily deactivate AoC QS.NET just deactivate the "Enable AoCQS" checkbox within the AoCQS.Configurator tool. If you want to remove AoC QS.NET entirely just use the uninstall shortcut in your start menu.

How do I use AoCQS.NET?

After installing and running the AoCQS.Configurator simply start Age of Conan as you would normally do. It is not necessary to start Age of Conan using a special shortcut or launcher.

Where can I find more information about the settings?

All settings in the AoCQS.Configurator has a tool tip attached, simply hover your mouse over the check box and read the tool top.

How do I skip the Patcher?

• Start AoCQS.NET(AoCQS.Configurator) found in you start menu.
• Enable "Allow direct start of Age of Conan without patcher"
• Create an easy to reach shortcut to the ageofconan.exe
• Start ageofconan.exe and the patcher gets skipped.
• The AoCQS.Launch will check if the patch version before launching AgeOfConan, if the patch version does not match the Patcher will be invoked.

Tip: Only do this when you going in and out of the game. It's not worth skipping the patcher if you planing on playing for hours

Got problems with "Enable full windowed mode" ?
If the renders screen gets stretched and the buttons aren't aligned do the following.

• Got to Settings->Video
• Change the resolution back and forth
  • If you got 1024x786 change to 800x600 and back to 1024x768
• Now your rendered screen should be OK

This works very well on my lowrange laptop
I remember reading about the "old" AoC Quick Start months ago, but i was anxious to try it. Anyhow, this is truly an excelent piece of coding.

Doesn't seem to work under Vista64 for me...

- Intro movies play despite having the checkbox ticked

- takes around 1min longer than the old QuickStart to start AoC...

I haven't noticed any change in startup times, I'll investigate it.

Investigated: I can see any change in the startup of AoC, from i press play until i get the login screen both uses about 10sec. When you press play AoCQS only fires up AoC, after that AoCQS doesn't do anything else.

What setting do you use?
If "Update interface XMLs on startup" and "Remove old interface caches on startup" is ticked it can result in a longer startup, if AoCQS needs to fix the xmls. If the xml files are ok, AoCQS will not spend a lot of time on this.

No such folder or file exists...although AoCQS.exe.Config does say :

            <setting name="SkipVideo" serializeAs="String">
                <value>False</value>

despite it being checked in AoCQS.Configurator

Same settings as with the old QS - both those options enabled. All XMLs are up-to-date via ByCrom since the last patch.

This is an old file, it's not used(removed in the latest version). The setting are stored in the registry( HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\AoCQS\).

Uploaded a new version which displayes the log file after AoCQS or AoC stops.

Updated to the new version; still no AoCQS folder or the AoCQS.Native.txt file - had the Show Log file checked but nothing appears

I probably think that AoCQS.Configurator isn't able to write into the registry. If you know how to check the the registry, open regedit and go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\ there you should see the key AoCQS with all the config setting.

If there isn't any setting there or the settings doesn't change, then there can only be two things broken: AoCQS( on vista 64bit, and i need to fix it) or your not running the AoCQS as administrator.
