Tortage Eve - now bigger and better!

What is the Tortage Eve?

Lo and behold, so it is time for another Tortage Eve! The only way you could possibly *not* be excited reading that is if you don't know what it is. If so, read below.

Tortage is a grand place. Beautiful, alive, well detailed, with several interesting locations. A more or less perfect place for RP. And yet, as is so common with starting areas in MMOs, there's very little roleplaying there.

So in an effort to change this sorry state of affairs, Clan Koragg and friends [several guilds wil be helping, though most don't know it yet!] will be doing a Tortage-wide RP event. It'll be simply an alotted evening where we'll have several characters and two guild to bring the palce to life, as well as mini-events to get things going.

Why should I bother to move my lazy arse over there?

Because it's lots and lots of very good RP, in a locale that is very seldom used. Here's some details to encoruage you:

- Two special guilds just for Tortage. The Resistance and The Red Hand will be recruiting members [can be jsut for a short while] and will each offer several roles to play for those willing to joing them, from spy to guardsman.

- A bunch of characters to make Tortage feel filled with life, who will also give out IC missions. The town crier, employed by the Red Hand, will inform all-comers of latest deals and opportunities, the Captain of the Red Hand will send recruits out fighting, and the leaders of the Resistance will try to help some lost souls through the current chaos. A priest of Mitra is also rumoured to come, offering blessings and confessions for a small donation to the church.

- Some good, old fashioned head-smacking! The Red Hand is determined not to allow the Picts from White Sands Isle to overrun the place, as well as to catch and kill the many criminals that swarm over the isle. Who knows, maybe even a scuffle with the Resistance, poking its nose where its not wanted, will ensue?

- A roleplayed tavern with a storyteller and a few 'local characters' to keep things interesting.

Almost forgot!

The event will take place Saturday 21th, 20:00 GMT. The whole of Tortage is the venue, but you can expect the dockside tavern [Rum n' Rumble] to be the hotspot.

I am sorry we put up a RP event between SetMosis and Maidens of Mitra at the same time. Lets get it done fast so we can all go to Tortage.

Because of the extended downtime our time for in-game preparations was cut, and so the event is moved to Saturday, 20:00 GMT. Sorry about the delay.

I turned up tonight but nobody was roleplaying. Hadn't seen it had been changed to Saturday. White Sands was a big punch up as usual. Fun but no roleplay. Wish I could make it tomorrow night but not sure if I can swing it as I'd arranged to put RL on the backseat tonight instead. Ahh well, have fun in Tortage when it all goes ahead.
